Does It Hurt to Get a Dental Crown?
In this video, experienced implant dentist Luz Cabrera, DMD, explains any potential discomfort you may experience during the prep and placement of a dental crown.
Getting a dental crown is generally not a painful experience. If the tooth’s nerve is still alive, we use local anesthesia during the procedure to ensure it’s pain-free. If the tooth has had a root canal, anesthesia is not necessary, as there should be no pain during the crowning process. If you’re considering getting a dental crown, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We are always happy to help and ensure your experience is comfortable and stress-free.
